Today's lesson is a mini-lesson — short, soft, and on purpose.
💜
Holidays (like Mother’s Day) bring up a lot of feelings.
Joy, pain, both at the same time, something in between.
Whatever you’ve got today, there’s something you can do for yourself regardless.
Today’s lesson is simple:
nurture yourself anyway
You don’t need a brunch, a card, or to even be a mom to celebrate the spirit of it all.
You DO need to do one thing today that makes you feel cared for. Nurtured. Loved.
A few suggestions:
read that book you bought months ago, but never made time to read
eat a meal without any screens; no phones, no tv, just you and a meal
take 5 minutes to do something creative
be kind to yourself through the losses—like when your first direct newsletter sponsorship gets cancelled last minute…

plot twist, the ad gets cancelled 5 minutes before sending 🧘♀…back to suggestions 😆
curl up with your favorite warm beverage, and enjoy a great story
Personally? My favorite way to do this almost always involves coffee or hot cocoa and any series with the type of writing that takes me to a whole new world 🌎

(and if you’re more the “business Mom” type, check out the podcast 🤩)

In all seriousness, we’ve had some surprisingly heartwarming episodes, like:

FIND HARMONY: the first ever episode of the podcast where my auntie brought me to tears, both of sadness and pure joy.
anyways, the point is simple, and apparently I'm extra qualified to deliver it tonight:
We all deserve nurture.
Remember to give it to yourself.
Not just today, but every day after that too.
